Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Dremel Stylus Lithium-Ion drill and wondering if anyone has one already and what they think of it.

I'm attracted to the ergonomic design and the fact that it is rechargeable.

I initially want to use it to take some of the elbow grease out of polishing/burnishing silver clay items and for reaming out semi-precious beads (am I the only one who gets p***ed off when they've been drilled from both ends and the hole doesn't meet smoothly in the middle ).

I'd be interested in any thoughts, or suggested alternatives.

This might be a bit late! But I have been using the Dremel Stylus for a while now, i use it for polishing, its really good becasue of the ergonomics and of course it saves a lot of time too! i also use mine as a bead reamer...

hope this was helpful!:)

I don't like battery powered tools. Only my personal opinion of course, I find it very frustrating when the battery needs recharging just as you want to do some work. Also battery power is not as strong as mains, this depends on your use obviously.

I did an answer to a earlier Dremel question, http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33430 (http://[URL=%22http://[URL=%22http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33430%22%22) may be worth reading.

Good luck with your choice, my small power tool does a lot of work, I prefer using a flexible drive instead of using the drill in my hand..
