Callotte findings

Do any of you use callotes on the end of beading thread, do you find them reliable?

Haven't used them with thread but use them with tigertail or monofilament most of the time - depending on my design - so far no complaints.
I find the weak spot is the jump ring but I tend to think of that as a safety feature rather than a problem.
