Hello.....i have just become the very proud grandmother of a 10 lb 11 oz baby boy.

My daughter wants me to make the cake and small cup cakes with little fimo babies on top so every one can take one away with them.

I have never used fimo before so if anyone knows of any books that could help me i would be very grateful

Many thanks.

Hi, seeing as no one has offered any advice...
we sell books for pottery/ceramics/sculpture/clay making, but I had a look and our wholesaler has a title called Creating with Polymer Clay, Designs, techniques & Projects, 128 pages 160 colour photos 12.95 + £3.00 P&P.
Give me a ring or drop me an email if you are interested. I take cards over the phone.

Hi Pauline

There is a vast supply of information on the internet if you google for fimo but a couple of quick links to get you 'started' are as follows.

http://www.handmade-craft-ideas.com/how-to-work-with-fimo.html

Good luck with your baby making and would be nice to see some pictures on here of your finished models.

Best thing about fimo is that if you make a mistake just sqeeze it and start again! have fun!
