soft toy making suppliers

Hi,

A friend has asked if I can make a large toy dog for her daughter, she's not looking for a specific breed, just something similar in size to the type of free standing dogs you can win at fun fairs/country shows.

Just wondered if anyone could suggest a supplier from where i could get a pattern, have searched the web, but only seem to find patterns for bears or little lap dogs.

I don't know if you are a bootsale fan, I quite often see old craft books and they normally have a soft toy section in them and you can pick them up for pence, also give charity shops a go. I will have a look in my collection of books, the one i have in mind is quite a simple sausage type dog. Watch this space !!
