I have made 2 cakes this week. 1 for a raffle prize at my nephews nursery and 1 for a friend of mines 8 year old daughter.
I was going to upload them because these were the first two that I was happier with, but it looks like the files are too big and I can't. Gutted, I wanted some constructive critiscism......
Oh well I shall just have to thisnk to myself that they are fine.
One I had made to look like a birds nest with chocolate matchsticks and then put mini eggs and a few chicks on the top and the other was a big cake with lots of smaller ones on top.....
My sister said that the icing on the little cakes should of either been not so messy or covered the whole cake, but apart from that all is good.
I am quite proud of these ones. I'm still a novice after all :D
Managed to load them.

The birds nest sounds yummy. As for the other one it may end up a bit too sweet if you covered the whole cake anyway I'm sure she will love it.

Why not open up a flickr or photobucket account and you will then be able to 'transfer' the photo's that way........would love to see them!!

I'd love to see them too, they sound delicious and attractive. If you go with photobucket I upload either 'small' or 'medium' size and that comes out fine on here :)

The top one looks so gooey it's evil! Surely there should be a health warning? ;) I mean that in the best possible way! I love the 2nd one though - those little cupcakes are so cute!

Hmmm really not sure about either cake...
The only way for me to give you a truly independent
verdict is for you to send them both to me and have
me eat them....I'll let you know which was my favourite
after :mf:
Seriously they look great and I bet the taste good too!

The chicky one looks brilliant and I bet it'll taste yummy too. I can see what your sis means about the icing covering the whole top of each cake, but hey it looks beautiful and I love jelly tots...yum :D

Hi Nettie, they are fab, good enough to eat,I should not look as I am trying to loose some weight!!!!:mf::mf:
Mmmmm! Lovely cakes!
I think i'd prefer a few more chocolate sticks on the top one and put the eggs closer together in the middle and no chicks.
The bottom one yes maybe cover the top of the little cakes would look better.
But they would taste just the same yummy!

I think that if the little cakes were completely covered they'd lose their identity - the cake looks very good as it is.
Had another look and i think that ElaineJ is right if the little cakes were completey covered they'd lose their identity - also i think it would be too much and it'd look sickly sweet. It's perfect. But trying is the only way i'd know for sure! :D

That nezt cake just cries out for all the eggs to be picked off first and scoffed before starting on the cake itself!! Both look good :)
