Hi all

I'm new today so just wanted to say hello! :D

I am 29, and my main craft is bobbin lace making which I have done since I was 9. I also enjoy paper crafting, blackwork and would like to get into beading (if time and finances allowed... :rolleyes: ).

hello and welcome to the forum.
I have several friends who lace and I am very impressed with what they turn out. I did lace making for about three years when I was nursing, but the bobbins were what did it for me!. I fast became addicted to spangling bobbins rather than making the lace and the beads spiraled from there into jewellery making and where i am now with two online bead stores and a jewellery making business...... from little acorns!
I have to say I am not sure what blackwork is... so please enlighten me!

I love the bobbins too but have to admit that I usually buy them ready spangled! I always quite fancied jewellery making too but there never seems to be enough hours in the day to learn all these new things. Maybe one day..

PS Blackwork is a form of embroidery but just in black thread (that's probably not the best description of it but hopefully you get what I mean...!)
