Can anyone tell me what would be the best way to make a candle without a wick so I can decorate it and insert a tea light in the top. Many thanks.

I've seen this done with carved candles.
You make a normal candle (including wick) and then just drill a hole in the top with a spade bit. Obviously, it's important you have the right sized bit. You'll need a large one, I'd say about 38 mm.
