Waterproofing Fabric

Morning Everyone

I wnted to try out an idea I have in mind, and wondered what if anything can you recommend for waterproofing and stiffening at the same time, fabric, I was thinking of a watered down diamond glaze mix and letting it dry out, do yout hikn this would work, or do you know of anything else?

Fabsil does the waterproofing bit but not sure if it stiffens - we use it to re proof walking jackets which tend to be e bit stiff to start with

Hi I know that mixing white glue & water stiffens fabric, you can put several thin layers on to achieve it, then perhaps fabsil?
