Oh! let us know how she gets on! and thanks for the warning.

I never use my card if it looks as though it's going to leave my site, hopefully that'll help!

Was it cloned at a shop/web??

Can't be cloned on the web and normally never in a shop..

I hard my details taken in a resturant and the guy tried to transfer £3k but my gf is different..

Cloning is when a computer copies the chip and magnetic strip on your card @ a cash point whilst a camera records your pin number..

Then the nasty people copy the info on a blank card and use your pin to take money...

I sure one about a month just before police turned up.. here is an example.. spot the differnece..

The one on the left has a fake bit where you put your card in and the grey rectangle above the screen is a digital camera with montion sensor...

Keep aware!!!!!

Cripes, I did notice the front of the cash machine where I usually withdraw money changed a while back.
I check my accounts regularly, money is going, but thats me.

I will be more aware and try to stick to places which I conider safe.

Thanks for letting us know about the cash machine thing, I knew it was happening but didn't quite know how.

The story got worse on sunday...

I tried to get some cash out and the machine said I'd put the pin in wrong 3 times... But I'd only tried once..

So the "nasty people" tried it on my card but as I always cover my hand they didn't get my pin or any money...

have to wait till the end of the week for a new card :(

I always cover the keypad too when typing my pin in - purses come in handy to shield from one side and my left hand shields the other side. I've done that ever since my friend had her card cloned and 2 grand taken :o Not that I've got that much money anyway.........
