Pressed flowers

if I wanted to make a slide pendant with pressed flowers do you think they would perish in some way, how could I preserve them?

I have a four leafed clover that I keep in my purse (might be lucky!) and I have had it for years and it hasn't perished yet. Meant to say that it has been pressed so you should be ok - it's stored inbetween 2 pieces of card if that helps too.

I made a necklace and a bracelet using minirosa flowers, looks quite purdy, tho my soldering could be a heck of alot better.
