I do spiced apple with porridge oats on top as a healthier option, i also make ones with a dollop of jam in the middle and sugar on top they look a little like doughnuts, and i think i am going to try and make one with a marshmallow inside. there are so many............... i could go on and on:D

Chocolate, apple and cinnamon, and lemon.

My niece has had a 'competition' of sorts in her home ec class at school, to create a new, different muffin. She's been thinking down the line of marshmallow, but because it's for around easter time, I suggested a (Cadburys) mini egg muffin. I am NOT a cook by any means, and have no idea if it would work... I just thought it sounded cool, lol.

Chocolate chip is my favourite. How about one a bit different, choc cake with white chips. DH likes blueberry or toffee.
If you want something different my suggestions would be,
Cranberry, peanut butter - but maybe a bit dodgy for those alergic, bakewell tart - almond with raspberry jam, banoffee -banana and toffee, mixed fruit. ginger.

Just asked my hubby and was given the answer triple chocolate... though any chocolate cake would do. As long as there is chocolate involved in the cake its a sure hit with him :)

Cranberry and orange, lemon and poppyseed, apple and cinnamon. I love bran muffins with sultanas but perhaps a bit boring. Although I would include chocolate in just about everything else I eat :D:D I love fruity muffins.

Yum, muffins. My faves would be banana, blueberry, cherry & almond, apple & cinnamon - prefer the fruity ones to chocolate. I now have a very strong urge to stop at the Coop on the way home and buy muffins :)

A not so edible muffin! Wooden mule flavour doesn't sound very tasty anyway.

well i know its not exactly the right time, but i had some from morisons (am sure yours are much beter) at christmas that where christmas cake flavour - it was christmas spices and dried fruit and they were fab

apart from that i thinkthere is nothing better than one filled to the brim with apple and tons of cinnamon, topped with sugar crystals

Ooh, just remembered I make some great Simnel Cake Muffins, with white icing and mini eggs to decorate. They are really yum, :sm: come with a blob of marzipan in the middle. Will have to make some more of those soon as I had totally forgotten until someone mentioned Christmas ones.

You can get the recipe from here:

How did I miss this thread? Muffins are my life :mf:

I make at least 2 batches a week for the family, faves here are blueberry with yogurt, oatmeal choc chip, cinnamon walnut, chocolate with choc icing, orange with orange icing, cherry walnut, buttermilk with strawberry jam or lemon curd in the middle and banana choc chip.

What did you make in the end?
