Hi all,
I am finally taking the plunge and taking the next step. Website.
Anyway I am torn between mrsite and doyourown. Anyone know which is better, would be selling via website so will need to be ecommerce.
Also the name I had come up with, I have just found that both domains are taken (.com&.co.uk) so this throws my name out. I was thinking of SJRdesigns. I have been wrecking my brains(whats left) to think of something else but nothing seems to sound right. I wanted it to have some meaning and be quite general as I dont do just one thing. Anyone have any ideas!

Many thanks for reading

Thanks for that. I think i will give doyourown a go as there is a free trial at the mo and that is making me lean more that way.
Still stuck with a name, which is a massive sticking point.

good luck with the website.

I have just changed to doyourownsite, I found it very easy and them very helpful.
I still have a long way to go with my site although I did go live with it on friday!

Hi, I am really struggling with a name. I think it is because I had my heart set on it, and now it is really hard to find something else.

What were you set on? I must have missed it?

Thanks for that. I'll have a look now, i think choosing a name has been the hardest part of the whole thing. If anyone has any other suggestions I wouldnt say no.

Just a thought SJRDesigns doesn't reall tell the world what you do.
many website designers are called by 2-3 initials.

Have you thought of having tiara in your name?

Hi, I thought about it, but thought it would narrow things down.
I make sterling silver jewelley, metal clay, polymer beads and also wire wrap so a bit of a mad mix going on. I enjoy so many diffrnt aspects of jewellery making and would hate to limit myself to say... just bridal or only silver.
I know what you mean about web designers and using initials. I think I need to look at it in a different way. SJRdesigns came about as it has my childrens initials and then designs as it is more of a broad spectrum.

I do really like how you've done your site, especially how you've managed to add your address details...;) I'd love to give it a go but this bit was really bothering me (too many crackerjacks out there!) Maybe I could 'borrow' your idea?

Hi Samantha,

What about sjr-designs.co.uk, I know it's not as good as having it without the dash but atleast you'd get the name you want.

I have checked and it is available, so you could register it.

Good luck with your doyourownsite trial...
