Sewing machine...

Hello everybody... I need your advice!!!

I want to buy a sewing machine, but... I don't know which:D
Do anybody know the perfect one??? Quite user-friendly, reliable, but with a broad range of functions... Gosh am I looking for a mate?!:sm:
I was thinking to Singer or Necchi, but I'm very broadminded!

I just have a basic 'Brother', it manages me very nicely and its lovely to use.

I don't know much about sewing machines, but if you go on some compare sites or sites like which, you will find customer reviews, looking at pros and cons for each model.
I did this when choosing a new dishwasher.

I've got a Neechi 681 and I really like it. I bought it off a cheap sewing machine website because it was in my price range and hoped it would be OK! Luckily it is. It sews through denim and heavy curtain fabric well but throws a tantrum if you use the wrong needles!

I have a 'Bernina Virtuosa 150 QE' and it is my best friend! It wasn't cheap, but I've had it for nearly 10 years, I use it all the time and it continues to work perfectly. I would recommend a Bernina every time. I hope you find a machine that suits you.

I've had two machines from this company, not only fast delivery but superb after sales service as well.
You do get what you pay for - the more expensive ones tend to be more robust and have more features for ease of use.
Having said that, I've heard very good things about the cheap ones that appear in Aldi and Lidl every once in a while! :D
