Hi!
I'm quite new to cardmaking and would like to know what the difference is between a hot and a cold glue gun - could anyone tell me?
Thanks :D

No idea about a cold glue gun but I bought a hot glue gun last year which you load up the glue sticks in the gun and plug it in.The glue heats up ans i think it makes the glue more flowy and gives a stronger bond.

I think you main difference is cold glue guns are safer for kids to use. Never tried them myself as I have the hot type.
Yes I have burnt myself, perhaps I best resort to the cold ones :-)

Don't fall into the trap of thinking cold glue guns are cold - they 'aint! There isn't a great deal of temperature difference, but while a hot gun will put you in hospital (ask my wife) a 'cold' one will sting a bit. It's still hot though, it just melts the glue stick at a lower temp. I've got three 'hot' guns and one 'cold'..............they all burn! :)

I've just noticed how old this post is. No wonder I didn't remember it! Can we stop resurrecting the dead please?
