I have nearly finished my mobile-I have used an old CD for the top of it, just need to add some more chains to be able to dangle it from the ceiling-I just blue tacked it to a shelf to see how it looks so far. Please let me know what you think!!!!

That ace! Is it for you or a child? I bet the light flashing off it would keep a baby amused for ages

cool. how do you stop the edges being sharp? I wanted to use cans in jewelry but didn't know how to edge them.

Well, I thought I would have to put something around the edges but by cutting the cans into disc shapes, the edges weren't sharpe at all. I will have to think of something if I want to cut out other shapes (especially for sharp corners!!)

thats really KOOL!!! we use to use pop cans to make all sorts of things back in the 60's and 70's...........made a purse one time by cutting the cans in squres and then folding them to smooth edges and clipping them together with bent paperclips...........wish I still had a pic of it to show you..........me with my hippy long skirt on proudly showing my new bag lolol

Its really lovely. It will look gorgeous when the sun catches it.
Ok stupidity confession. I looked at the title then at the pictures and thought..."but where is the phone" Then I suddenly realise it was a mobile as in hangs from the roof and looks pretty not a mobile phone!

very very nice we use a sizzix over here to cut different shapes and it makes the edges very dull so you don't get cut

That is really nice, tempted to make one as I have loads of empty pepsi max cans and it seems a shame to just throw them in the bin. Bit worried i'd cut a finger off though lol.

That looks lovely! I made a very simple mobile of CDs for the nursery when my boys were babies, plus I had a couple of those miniature glitter balls hung in the window. The reflections used to really hold their attention, from a very early age. And I used to love sitting in there on sunny days watching the light show - very relaxing and therapeutic! :mf:
Hmm, maybe I need something for my own room now ;)
