Ive decided to take my first day off this year and go to Londinium to see the Michaelangelo exhibition.
There is a bead shop on the way so I may have to pop in, if I can twist my own arm.

have you got a shopping list and will power or are you going to go through the doors and loose all sense of dignity and control at the mere sniff of bead?

Usually I try to act with grace and decorum but where sparkly things are concerned I can act like David Blaine would act towards food after his 44 days in that box stunt.
There is one bead shop I went to were I spent £44 as I went a bit glitter happy. My thinking was that I may as well get it while Im there rather than get home and realised i should have got more.
The shop Im going to is lovely but not as blingy as the other.Il just focus on charms and swarovski. My chosen addictions.

I got to the museum only to be told that the earliest showing I could see was at 2.40, as it wasnt even 1pm yet i decided to go to the bead shop.I eventually found it.
Bought some cloisonne type beads Id bought before.Bought some orange and blue glass swirly beads which arent usually my thing but thought I needed to try something new.also got 2 tone yellow/orange to go with th orange glass beads.
Bought some white/opal misty type beads, some squashed swarovski ovalish beads in black, dark purple, lilac and ab.Soooo gorgeous all together. Some small silver hearts....oh my goodness, I have just looked in my box of beads to remind myself what I bought and i cant find the other swarovski I bought.I got 1 of each type of flower(hole through the centre and holegoing across) so I can see how they work, a drop bead adn the mother of all beads, it was calling me, it was about 3cm big, ab, multi-faceted and it cost £4.15!!!!I had to have one.
Hope ive lost it in the sofa at home!!Il be mightly peed off if its gone forever....doh, just found it.
All in all it came to a grand total of £23.60 which I think was quite good.I looked at the prices of some beads and know I can get them cheaper elsewhere so I didnt get them.
I found a ring finding there which was £3.75, I want one but didnt buy it as I know an online site where can get the same thing for 50p!!!!
Found my way back to the museum, where I waited about 15 minutes in the queue for the ladies(only 2 cubicles!!when will they learn). Then went to see the exhibition.
Michaelangelo knows how to draw!!Annoyingly it was very crowded so I only had a quick look, then went to look at other parts of the museum.
Bought a pen and a fridge magnet from the Michealangelo gift shop adn some shortbread for my parents.
Had to get a taxi back to the station as my little legs were tired.

Just to recap, I spent £50 yesterday on my Londinium trip, Ive spent another £20 today on beads n stuff and i just spent another £8 on some thing else.
I am gona be burning credit cards and cheque books etc.I need to stop spending.
I dont save anymore.I think craft is taking me over!!!!!!!
Bea, how do you cope?!
Cripes, also bought £5 worth of charms!!!!!!!
Ecky thump, I need a trip to the loony bin.
Can I justify it by saying they are bits I need to make some ideas i have, they are not just 'I want that coz its pretty'.

I have saved money tho as I have worked out that th soldering matt I have been using for soldering looks like its exactly the same thing I need to use with the blowlamp I got at the weekend.
Did I say I got a blowlamp.I need to add that onto the list of things i bought, only £14 tho, could have been more. Its a nice little girly one.

I would definately say book tickets.I got there at 1ish and couldnt get a ticket for the 2.45pm showing(they are booked in half hour stints)So if its getting busier definately book.
It ends on Sunday 25th June.
There is a cafe there if you need to waste time, and a big shop.
Leave plenty of time to queue up for the toilets, escpecially ladies. There were 2 loos and a dozen women waiting, took about 10/15 mins to get to me.
I found there was a huge gathering of people at the front of the exhibition, as soon as you get in people stop to look.Id say try and plough your way through to the other sid/end of the room where it should have less people and work your way back to the front.
It is very difficult to get a look at the pics, have to admit I gave up in the end.
The people with the headphone things think its their god given right to stand slap bang infront of the picture for as long as they like!!Very infuriating.
The pictures are very small, about A4 size, there are a couple of big drawings near the end tho.You will have to nudge with all your might to get a look at the smaller pics.
If they can maybe go as early as possible, I get the impression it will be quiter in the morning.
Plus the Cisteen(dont know how to spell that)chapel pictures are projected up on a low ceiling which was a nice feature.
Oh and if you want to dump your coat/bags the cloakroom is cheap, just a pound per item I think it was.Very reasonable.
Im going to see the Da Vinci exhibition later in the year, I think thay may be packed all the time.I hate having to book tickets as I may wake up the day Ive booked and not feel like going.
