Hi I am just starting off and making some fabric shopping bags. Please can anyone tell me where I can source reasonably priced woven labels with my name on to sew into my bags. Many Thanks Dinah

Hi Dinah, In the Haberdashery where I work we sell the postal order cards for embroidered name tapes (the ones used for school uniforms and clothing of anyone going into a care home or institution) however these are essentially the woven lables as you ask for; the customer can choose the wording, colour, font and spacing of the label and they are available to order in packs of 36, 72 or 144 (cheaper in larger quantities) by post or telephone as written on the card (this is how you purchase them). If you phoned up I don't see why you wouldn't be able to ask some more specific questions about a larger label or bigger quantities too. The cards mentioned are available from any good haberdashery or dress making shops, and some laundrettes and supermarkets.

i cant remember the seller but i bought some a while back from etsy, fantstic quality and really good value for money. just search for woven lables on etsy and theres plenty of uk suppliers on there and i got them within a week

worldwidelabel on etsy, I got 300 for around £24 I think, you choose the size, colours font and placing of the words :)
