Ive been prettying up some little bottles Ive got but one of the cork tops was falling apart so I went to replace it with one from an identical vial.
I went to unplug the cork stopper and the replecement one snapped in 2!!
So I thought to myself, carefully use the pliers and take out the rest of it..BUT..whatever you do DONT apply too much pressure a push the half of the stopper into the bottle because that would render the hole thing useless.
Guess what I did.
So despite my trauma at wasting a bottle Im wondering why the cork beacme so brittle.
Does it need to be kept in a moist atmosphere?
Do any of you have any cork knowledge?Maybe anybody that likes a liddle drinky in the evening may have extensive cork knowledge.
