Impressions

Hi all

I currently take prints directly into PMC and the results have been fantastic, but I'm considering providing a kit for sale so i'm trying to find out what impression putty I should use.

I've been told by a fellow crafter to use polymer clay/Fimo but someone else said that you don't get fine detail if you use that........... I'm confused!!!

Any help would be VERY appreciated :)

Thanks in advance!

Dental alginate gives probably the cleanest impression. Otherwise there are a number of two part moulding compounds that will work.

I've just bought this for making moulds, not used it yet so can't say how good it is

I've also been asked to provide some form of kit where I don't have to visit people to physically take prints.

I just cant get my head around the fact of using the compound to take prints.

How would you do it - to then get the prints back into PMC.

I'm probably being thick - typical blonde day.
