I'm trying to find cloth or canvas shoes that I can decorate with trimmings to match bags and t-shirts.
I've spent hours trawling the internet but have drawn a 'blank'!
Can anyone help?

If your looking for ballet style www.stagestruck.co.uk or www.thedanceshop.co.uk they have balet type slipper in plain colours.

I think what you are looking for are called espadrilles.
Try www.thecostumestore.co.uk they have plain white canvas shoes.

Best to try stage/dance places as they will supply things plain to then be dressed up for productions.

Either something you'd wear for the eve - e.g. mules with little heels, etc or daytime flatties - tho they'd have to be for very occasional wear

... not
Been wrapped up in other stuff (main biz is a design agency - glad to say its going well! see www.mediaeden.co.uk)

Did some more online research but other than chinese style flat shoes with bar across, haven't been able to find anything plain.

What are you working on at the mo?

Ah - that'll be the latest version of Flash - as we profess to be cutting edge, one has to use the latest technology and all that!

Hinging 2 pieces of glass.. hmmm.. well, assuming pritt n ribbon aint going to hold it :D ... guess it needs some sort of frame to attach hinges to.. or drill holes in both and put a ring thru?

Ive tried the solder/hinge thing as I put aluminium foil tape around the glass.
The hinges are primitives ones I made myself but didnt work pluss they can only be 4/5mm wide as the glass is only 2mm wide.

I like the ribbon/ring idea but dont know if it would be sturdy enough.
