I'm asking this question before I've even looked it up on the net but here goes.

I want to make something out of felt that smells (nice). I dont want to use lavendar, too old lady, I really want it to smell of Vanilla.

I have vanilla oil and the item in question is to be stuffed and feel soft. My question is what do I put inside the item (with the stuffing) that I can put the vanilla oil on that wont leak onto the felt and make it greasy.

The only thing I can think of is a fine potpourri but there must be some alternative?

Any help???????? :?

Hmm, thats a tuffy.I dont think there is anything which will stop oils from leaking but also let the smell out.It would be awful to ruin your work if it leaked everywhere.
May be worth looking into dried/powdered vanilla.

Yeah you use them in cooking, not sure how strong that would smell though as they add flavor rather than scent??

Hows this for cheating.
Dont cars have those tree shaped hanging smelly things to make it smell nice.
Im sure they are sold in vanilla(my pal loves vanilla and I had a flashback of getting a whiff of it when I got into her car).
You could buy those and cut it into smaller bits.I think the are dry.

There are lots of scented bags etc around now that have little poly vinyl beads in them that are impregnated with the scents. i am sure there must be a place in the uk that sells them loose.
