View Full Version : The best way to stick??

Hello all,
This is probably a ridiculously basic question but humour me please!
I have some very skinny die-cut letters ('Katie' Quickutz font) and I am wondering what is the best way to stick them to a surface? Glue will surely be too messy and I imagine sticky-back plastic would be very fiddly.
Is there an easier way that I am just not seeing?
Comments greatly received.

I would use a glue in a 'glue stick' form such as prit stick so you wont end up with glue all over.
Better still, if you are cutting the dies your self with a sizzix machine or whatever, invest in some adhesive sheets (such as Stix2 Magic Sheets). Cut a square out of this. stick it to the back of your piece of card (of the same size), THEN die cut the shape out. You will then be able to peel the backing off and be left with a totally sticky backed shape!!!
Hope that helps a smidge :D

Thanks for the advice. Think i'll be opting for the glue stick as I haven't got a sizzix / quickutz machine but I might invest in one soon, especially as those Magic sheets sound ingenius. There really is something for everything isn't there!
Kind Regards xx

Hi,
I do lots of 3D work on my cards and sticky pads are great as they give the 3D effect and can be cut to whatever size you need. They sell them in poundland in lots of about 160 for £1 - you could probably have guessed the price!!

Thanks Lynsey.
I can't use them for this particular project but it's good to know where I can buy some of those sticky pads cheap. There are so many little crafty things I would like but they will add up to a fortune! I'll have to get things one at a time to ease the blow.

I find foam pad and double sided tape good. Also craft dots are quick, easy and non messy.
