As some of you may know I mentioned that hubby was looking to expand his candle ranges and was looking into making candles in mugs, he made his first today so here it is...

It's a chocolate candle topped with vanilla whipped wax effect and chocolate to look like a cappucino... this one is in an 18th birthday mug but he has others which he is looking to make this week in time for crafts fairs :D

Thanks Louise... we're hoping that these might do well at craft fairs as he's going to do some Christmas ones too so fingers crossed people like them ;)

I bought a candle the other day as a stocking filler, it's in a wine glass and smells like mulled wine (or so it says) has he thought of doing something like that? :)

Really clever, it makes me want to try doing it too, but I have no time.

It is a real buzz making something that looks so good when finished.

Thanks everyone... he's really pleased with it and has just finished a second one, for a 21st birthday and the fact that he is getting so much positive feedback from fellow crafters is definitely helping. Thank you :D

That's lovely, they should sell really well at craft fairs particularly if he is going to be catering for the ages (18th, 21st etc) they are always popular.

Way to go.

That's brilliant, really clever - is he doing Christmassy ones, they'd sell I'm sure (I'd buy some :)). Can you burn the candle in the mug without the mug cracking though? Or is that a daft question?

Thanks for all the positive feedback... we've tried one of the candles burning in the mug and had no problem at all :D

He's starting his Christmas 'mug' range today so hopefully I'll have a few more to add by later.

Autumn Fairie - if you're interested in the Christmas ones then pm me and we can sort out prices, fragrances, etc :)

What a wonderful piece of crafting. Do we get to see pictures of others as they are completed?

I'm sure they'll go well at upcoming craft fairs.
