Hello!
Hope I'm posting in the right place!

I run a little coffee roastery in Bethnal Green, London, and I was just wondering if any of you ever needed coffee beans to make candles or other crafts with? I tend to accumulate good quantities of waste/ test roasts that I cannot sell, they're not very drinkable, and I'm looking for a way of disposing of them without them going in the bin!

I'm afraid I can't deliver, but if anyone ever needs any beans, they are free on collection in 12-13 kg bags from the roastery. Just drop me a line first so I can make sure someone is in to help!

Thank you and kind regards,

Anette Moldvaer

aw, how kind!

apparently, used coffee beans also make really good fertiliser for plants growing in the soil, too!

What a nice person you are!

Hi

(welcome) to the forum, what a very kind and generous offer.

I could certainly use a few kilos, just a shame you are so far away.

Do you offer your grounds for people's gardens? Starbuck's does that - it might be a nice marketing thing for you to do...

This thread was almost exactly 12 months ago and sadly it was the only post made bny the coffee person. I wonder if they got rid of all their beans?

Looks like they are still around and doing very well for themselves :)

I guess if anyone was really keen to get there hands on some you could always ask and offer to pay a nominal fee?
