Calling all soap makers

Hello,
Trying my hand at my new crafting hobby-soap making-not had much luck with the old rose petals up to now lol so i thought i would try texture... does any one know how you can achieve that lovely marbling in different colours through the soap? Am I getting in front of my self here?? should i stick to cards and sewing lol

You can buy non-bleed colours which won't 'mingle' when you put them into the soap base - you can then swirl them and make pretty patterns.

The slightly more fiddly way is to divide your soap base into half (or more if you want lots of colours) and colour each bit of base. I usually pour one base into the mould....let it cool and then carefully pour the other base in a thin stream (should probably heat it first...just a little). It's not fool proof though and I've often spent a long time making the base and leaving it to cool only to find it just amalgamates into a (usually) not very nice colour.
