Hi!

Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to attach lettering to some aprons I have planned. Applique is an option but very labour intensive because there's a lot of letters!

Whatever I do it'd need to be washable!

Thanks!!
Clare

You can use Bondaweb to fuse them onto the aprons but I don't know how long they'd last with washing and no stitching

Thanks sewtobed, I'll investigate. Someone else has suggested iron-on transfers but again I'm not sure they'd stand up to washing.

I'm sure you can get iron on letters which you could sew around. Emma (JBJB) might know a bit more as she does lots of personalised items.

I usually use bondaweb to back the materials I am using to make the letters, draw the lettering onto the paper backing, cut out, iron on and then either machine or hand stitch round the edge.
