This may have been suggested before and apologises if it has but during a drive to Peterborough Autumn show today I was pondering if anybody from this forum would be there in the Craft section...
Then I had one of my little brainwaves..

how about a small poster format we could download and print out to show we are proud members of this forum, there are so many of us here and it we all love to attend craft fairs either as sellers, buyers or just browers.

The poster doesn't have to have your forum name on just a nice few lines saying somthing like

"Proud member of the UK's biggest and friendliest craft forum

A nice way to indentify one of our ranks don't you think ??

My Art consisted of throwing a lot of paint at big canvasses, now if you want a poster that looks like last night's pizza I'm your man, otherwise I'll leave it to someone with talent!

I will get my OH to do one! When its done, where do I post it so you can have a look at it and give any comments/amendments etc?

Then when its got 100% approval, will put it up for anyone who wants it!

We'd obviously need the nod from the admin but I don't see why people can't design one and stick them on this thread for everyone to see ( sorry I can't design one, lol, I have no computer savy )

The poster wouldn't be like the SRAJD which is a recognition thing for your work , more a "hello here I am " kinda thing

What a good idea! I find myself checking out stall holders to see if I can recognise anyone from here! I'd certainly display one :)

Well that was a great start! apparently my jpeg is toooo big! its only 171kb, will try & get OH to squash it a bit, I havn't a clue how to do that, at this rate he will be totally bored and you will never see it!!

We need a few arty people to design one so we can pick the one we like the most, then I'm going to see if we can put it on here as a PDF ( i think its called a PDF , sorry i'm not very pc literate )

Peter,

An update for you!

I went onto the link and the smallist file they could do is 360 x 480 and it still says I am over my quota?

What do you suggest?

Go on the bit where it reduces by percentage - just work out how much smaller you want it in Kb rather than pixels, or click the top bit that says 'on your own'................you can enter your width/height in there. :)

Hi,

I'm a newbie here, and this is the first thread i stumbled upon.. you can put quite large size images at imageshack.us then you can post the link here. (you'll need www before that, but it wouldnt let me post the web address in full as i've not had enough posts.)

hope that helps

*hugs*

I think it's a great design, which I will look to add to my website soon.

At the moment, I'm torn between printing/laminating a colour version for craft fairs or burning the design onto a large piece of pine I've kept for an advertising board...

Decisions, decisions.

I haven't been able to download it - is that 'cos I don't know what I am doing. I tried originally when it was posted - when Peter added it to his signature - but no success. Mind you I was in the middle of the Med at the time on a ship!! Perhaps I better try again now I am on dry land.

could we pretty please have the design as a sticky or tacked to one of the popular sections so that people can download it
It might get forgotten and that's a shame when people seemed to be so positive about it

Does anyone on the forum make badges/lapel pins? Maybe you could make one with the CF logo on.

I'd definitly buy one from you and if we all got them we could all wear them when we go to craft fairs either as customers or sellers and then you'd know that you could approach someone and they wouldn't think "my god . . . . who is that nerd!"

The poster is a great idea. Any chance of something that we could add to our blogs or shops? Gets the name out there - spreads the word.

Can't think or any issues - are there any apart from someone has to write/design it?
