View Full Version : Help desperately needed for a card idea!?!
Hi everyone.
I'm new - just registered today & loving the site so far.
I need to make a card for someone who is adopting a 6 year old boy. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Max

Tis a hard question.. umm..
I'm a bit lame and would go for a generic type of card but the other side is if you know these people well then.. What would you like if you were them? .. ummm..
Some ideas http://adoptionshop.com/c3/cards-announcements.html

I envision a small ring of people-holding hands- and one colour (or warm shades)
there's a gap in the ring with a small human form approaching
hands raised... and a different colour...(cool shades-blues,greens,etc)
When the card is opened the ring is complete and all the same colour...
warm shades--reds, oranges,pinks...
The forms can be very interpretive-- just drawn so you know its people and not bunches of brocolli...
maybe basic expressions by showing the eyes and mouth...
I dunno--might be off base here...

Oooh that's a lovely suggestion Mr Branch or may I call you Gnarled?
Hopefully Max is as artistic as yourself, I think I'd struggle and end up with the brocolli
By the way, what part of Canada are you from I'd like to go back for another visit again one day, loved it over there.

..but you can call me Dave...
I live near Toronto Ontario... it's nice here...
although I hope to over the pond and experience a few things
over your way... lovin' the pub on every corner concept.

be prepared for harsh winters...and they are lengthy.
The housing is fairly cheap there compared to Ontario--but
I find everything is a little more expensive...
to visit homes that are for sale all over Canada I HIGHLY suggest
www.mls.ca
it's a search engine for homes available in whatever province or price range you are interested in....
or you can visit my wee site and admire some art...lol
seriously though Canada is a great country but apparently we drive on the wrong side of the road.
