Anybody tried soldering?

Im looking for Chrome and brass soldering ribbon in the uk.
Any ideas?

Just have to say i just soldered a decorative swirly thing out of silver plated wire.
Apart from it looking like a 2 year old had done the soldering, it looks like how i wanted it and Im doing a big smile!!!

I just soldered together bits of wire to look like a peacock feather.
It looks like a 3 year old did it this time.

My soldering iron 'died' last week, the tip was black and crusty so I thought Id go to the place where I got it, Focus, and buy a new tip.

I stupidly presumed they would sell replacements.

Got there, had a look, couldnt find any, asked someone that worked there and they said they didnt sell them so I had to buy another iron.
Admittedly only £8 but it was very annoying.Youd think theyd sell the tips seperately!
