bookmarks - help !!

hubby took my bookmarks to work and sold 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all personalised
now the only problem I have is that some of the names are going to work out longer than the headpins I have
I know when I was practising my loops for the earrings some of you said about getting a reel of metal and just cutting it down to size and practising
where can I get the reel of metal what am I looking for

so is craft wire what I need to buy ???
I found some in the works today in different colours which would be ok and don't laugh when I say this as its probably me being stupid but it was in reels, how do I make it straight to put the beads on is it easy and flexible ??
