when my son was 15 I found him hard work and as usual turned to my trusty computer to find answers however I found lots of websites aimed at the under fives but not many for teenagers so I made my own
its been up and running for about 4 years ago and although its not got a huge amount of members that in itself is nice as its got a nice family feel to it
we help eachother through the tough times , my son is 19 now and I've decided I'm going to keep him now as he's quite lovely but the site is coming into its own again as my daughter is 16 help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its not all about teenagers, a few of the members don't even have teenagers they're just storing all the information up for future years
we share the ups and downs of life, we're there to support eachother through the bad times and have a laugh in the good times
take a look its the keeping sane link at the bottom of this message

what a lovely person you are sunrise to do a website to help other people going through the terrible teens
I have 5 kids aged 15,17,18,19 and 21
And yes I've earnt every grey hair on my head !!
every one of my kids are so different and just when you think you have cracked this parenting game lark they go and do somthing that completely stumps you !!
I have my eldest son moving out soon (3rd time now , he came back twice !) and my 18 yr old son moving out for the first time ,this is more of a worry as he has become quite distant from the family since starting work ( he is a chef and will be living in ),so of course as a mother I beat myself up over this ,is it because his dad left ?,is it because I have a new partner ?
I love my kids to bits but sometimes they drive me to tears of frustration,
I'm off to check the website now as I've been beading since 7am and I deserve a break, lol

Do you think that we have a case of :spam:?
sunrise

no its not a case of spam , keeping sane is a website I set up as explained in the opening message
teenagers are certainly fun lol and can try the patience of a saint so I thought I'd post a link in case anyone wanted some light relief from their darling children lol
sorry if I've offended anyone :confused::confused:

It's hardly a crafting website, so why put things about spam!!!
Sunrise, that is a fab idea and well done to you!!!
Anyone is free to link their favourites sites etc, so don't see why this one should be of any bother!!!:playball:

No sorry Sunrise. Somebody had left a spam post on your thread, and now it has been deleted.
I'm sorry it has all got mixed up. Hope you didn't get too upset :o

thanks glam I'm a little confused as to the spam reference
I thought I explained what my website was all about with my first message
I wasn't trying to cause trouble just to help people out
I know I wouldn't have survived the teenage years if it wasn't for the friends I've made on keeping sane
they've got me through a few big issues this year and we all support eachother and have become friends
I was just trying to share this

Ah makes sense now, I wondered why Louise was saying spam! That's the problem if bits of a thread get deleted.
On the plus side though it's brought your website to mind again Sunrise as I'd been meaning to take a look after seeing the link in your sig, having an enigma of a 14 yr old daughter will go & have a browse.

Hi Sunrise, I read your post with interest as I have a 12 year old son who is going on 15! I linked to your site but all the forum threads I went to said that there were no posts as they were over a certain time limit. I'm sure there may have been some good advice in the past and I'll keep checking for updates.:)

the problem is we are quite a small group but always willing to make new friends
what with it being Christmas we haven't been posting as much and we've all been sooooooooooo busy and a short while ago I set up an area which was password protected in case people wanted to talk about things which they didn't want the whole world to see, We use this area a lot and thats probably where a lot of recent posts have been.
I promise you if you sign up and post in the introductions or anywhere else you fancy you will receive a very warm welcome I can guarantee it !!

some of the members on the site don't have teenagers yet but join in with everything and store information for the future
if my site can be of any help to anyone either now or in the future then I will be happy
wouldn't it be funny if when my children have teenagers it helps them out ha ha ha
so feel free to join in whether you've got teens or not , the more the merrier
