Hello all,

Been trying to find wood boxes online, about A4 in size which resembles old fashioned cigar boxes. Does anyone have any links or knowledge of this type?

Much appreciation,
Stag

This is a hard one... wooden boxes like that are VERY hard to come by, especially if you want good quality ones.

Our own Kipper Workshops sells boxes, but I'm not sure he has that shape.
Janik and Boxy Lady also sell boxes, but again, I don't think you'll get this shape...

Hi, that's a tricky box size. Mostly people are after smaller sizes.

We do sell boxes, thanks Scorch for the mention, but not that big.

I will have a look through some of my contacts and see if anyone has any that size and shape, but off hand I don't think they do.

If I find any I will report back.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

have you tried ebay, search for the devonwoodman
'blank unpainted wooden boxes' - is this the kind of thing you are looking for?

Oh, yes, that's Shaun at Country Bloomers ( http://www.countrybloomers.co.uk ) - he's a lovely chap, nice craft supplies, but I don't think he'll have them that big ether...

We had to find a good quality box about A4 in size and about 70mm deep.

I searched far and wide for something, in the end I had 100 of them made in India, cost, including delivery about £4.20. The boxes are really nice, you can get some idea of the quality of the box by looking at this link. The boxes are made from solid hardwood. (hope it's ok to put this link in)

If you get stuck I can give you all the contact details for this company.

It is probably not much help but I have several I have picked up in the far east. Thailand more specifically. If you are after a source it may be of help.
