Gold on glass

In the past I have done a reasonable amount of gilding onto glass, but I always wondered, (and never had the chance to ask anyone until I joined this forum) is it possible to introduce gold at some stage in the firing of the glass.

Yup.... lampworkers can add gold leaf. Glass fusers like me can add it between the layers or on the top of the glass so it bonds to the surface as it fires.
