A cheque for £1500 to clear my overdraft, and two tickets for a two week holiday in spain. I just miss the sun. Actually, if I got the holiday, i wouldnt mind having an overdraft like that! Just a holiday in the sun.

Struggle with finding craft things in Spain so a big craft shop selling everything for every craft would make me REEEEEAAAAAAALLY happy.

Sometimes the best thing in the world is a cup of tea, slice of cake and Neighbours on the telly :)
Other times it's as simple as CHOCOLATE
And often if I'm feeling fed up with things I spend hours on the internet researching new places to go on holiday and trying to find cheap deals....and occasionally I've been known to go ahead and book them :)

Doing what I did today!
Sitting in the sun with four good friends and the 16 children we have between us all playing beautifully together :)
Alternatively the children going on holiday with Grandad for a few days so I can have some uninterrupted sewing time! ;)

Aw, keep trying and stick to your guns Clarey! I was there once too many years ago
If its any consolation, any interviewer worth their salt should asses the person, not just their qualifications and/or length of experience. I used to recruit admin staff for a huge bank and have interviewed people with bags of relevant experience who I didnt take on cos their personalities were **** and I'd often pick someone for all sorts of other reasons besides specific job experience and be proved right - they tried all the harder for having been given the chance
...and what makes me happy? Sumat tasty that I just fancy, like buttery garlic mushrooms on toast with lots of grilled cheese melted over the top - guess what I had for dinner at weekend and remember it fondly!

Simple things make me happy. Seeing my seedlings pop up through the soil never fails to make my heart fly and finding ripe fruit and veg ready to harvest is always a good moment too! I skipped round the garden a couple of days ago just because my courgette plant had started to flower!
Other things that make me happy; seeing my children all play together without squabbles, fooooooooood glorious foooooooood, music, loving and being loved!

I know I already answered this but today I found another thing that makes me happy.
Spending the day with my hubby, anywhere away from the house with no thought of work.
Today we went looking at caravans (only window shopping before we actually take the plunge and become gypsies in our twilight years ;)), then we had a pub lunch and then we went picking raspberries. Another nice day!

Were camping this weekend. Go when ever we can. also be camping for 2 weeks 3 weekends from 15th aurgust visiting 3 venues. Camping is bliss. Nothing better than hitchin the van or packing the tent and finding a Rallie to join. Shaz you should join the camping and caravaning club ad meet fellow campers lots of us meet all over the country. One woman is a golf widow and takes her 2 kids away on her own all the time.

There's a Bongo Fury members club for my vehicle and they plan meets all over the place too so there's certainly lots of help and company to be had if I decide to go it alone - I might even give you a yell one fine day and meet up with you at one of your venues
Crafting in your camper van surrounded my nature, now there's a thing to make you happy

Yep, camping makes me happy too! We're off down to the west next week as we have a family wedding to go to so we're gonna make a holiday out of it. We like camping too. Sold our caravan 6 weeks ago - it was only two berth and with extra Grandchildren we needed more beds of course. I still miss seeing it in the driveway. DD has just acquired a 6 berth camper so we will settle for using that - with or without them. Cheeper, no site fees for us.

So many happy campers and caravanners here - sorry but I hate both! Loads of things make me happy - hearing my son laugh, a gossip with the girls, cold white wine, an absorbing book, a night out for two with my husband, and of course lots and lots of beads to play around with and make jewellery! There are so many more but these will do for a start.:mf:

My son was having the same problem. He had spent from January until August looking for part time work. Kept trying but at 16 no experience!!! Applied for a job in Tesco, got the customary letter of thanks and we'll keep you on file..2 hours later, a phone call for an interview the following day and by the next Wednesday he had started work........keep the faith, he was determined it would fall into place and it did., with the part-time hours he wanted and everything.
You will get a job and the people who employ you will be looking for someone just like you, and lucky to get you.;)

Way to go Chris.
Its nice to hear when something nice happens to someone when you've been having a bad time. Hope everything carries on being wonderful for you.
At the age of 35 (and still single) I decided that Mr Right had given up trying to find me so I gave up too. Three years later my best friend introduced me to one of her work colleagues and 2 years after that I walked down the aisle to his side. We've now been happily married for 3 and a half years and have never once had an arguement . . . . . mainly because he does as he's told ;) but it just goes to show that good things come to those who wait.

There are many things which would make me happy... some possible, some only a dream.
I'd love to have a few more days with my mum who passed away in February 2007 to do the things we always thought about, go the places we always spoke about and say the things I wish I had the chance to say.
I'd like enough money in the bank for hubby and I to live comfortably without having to worry about paying bills.
And I'd like to wake up in the morning knowing that our friends and family are healthy and happy, to think that any health or personal concerns our loved ones have would be resolved and the suffering in our society would stop.

A Tunnock wrapper and digital camera made me happy just now...
We have these chocolate caramel wafers in an old-fashioned foil and paper wrapper that makes it feel like I'm undressing something wonderful; slowly and carefully peeling away, exposing the smell and the colour of the pleasures to come - neatly making sure I'm savouring every moment until my mouth is properly watering and I'm ready to explore taste and texture.
When I was tiny, biscuits were huge and satisfying! Where are the adult-sized biscuits? I want a rusk as big as my head! :nopity:
Anyway, all too soon, the biscuity goodness is in my tummy but the wrapper remains...
What better than to carefully reform it into a biscuit shape and leave it on the kitchen surface with a camera watching it until one of the family discover it?
I hadn't realised how huge facial expressions are in children when they don't know they're being watched! First joy at finding an unprotected biscuit, then instant gratification: straight to the mouth, dismay, and then glee at the thought of tricking his brother (which is what he immediately did)!
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/understanding/Forums/Biscuit.gif
Disclaimer: I think he looks a bit like he's acting: he's like that, he had no idea about the camera. He's five, and I'm aware that the OP said not your children: this is about the fun a Tunnock gave me :-) Oh, and both boys got one afterwards :-)

To be as organised as my sister is and have everything ready for xmas before the end on November!
Nah it's half the fun gone right there.

For me, finally finishing the christmas shopping, opening an envelope to find a couple of tickets to Kenya for me and my better half and then going there and taking some perfect photographs of the wildlife..........in reality, that means finishing the shopping on christmas eve, opening an envelope to find a gift voucher for a zoo trip and getting some rubbish photos of caged animals.........I can dream though.
