I am making some small fabric storage tubs/boxes & have been using thick quilting fibre inside. I was wondering if there is something a little stiffer I could use so the tub is a little less floppy, any ideas?

;)Hi
I have made fabric boxes before from a book called 'Sew Pretty Homestyle'- it said to use thick fibre felt- i never found any but i used the thickest felt i could find and it held up pretty well.
Hope that helps!!

I have used heavy weight interfacing on the mini tubs i have made and they always seem to stand up pretty well !!

You could use some stuff called buckram which is used inside tie backs and pelmets as well as the wadding but it's usually only 4 or 6 inches wide. There are several sellers on ebay.

Try a search on pelmet interfacing, you can get it ar 30cm wide. Also there's a product called 'fast 2 fuse' the heavyweight version is similar to interfacing but has iron on adhesive on both sides.

I tested out some iron on vilene which seems to have produced pretty good results.
