......your trousers spilt when putting salt into the dishwasher - which is a pleasurable experience in itself! Although I did bend and stretch further to see how far the split would go!! I will be back with a post later on but I just had to update you with the exciting happenings over here at Swirlyarts :) Oh I'm off to tidy up my house as I have an important visitor (http://tiptoptoppers.blogspot.com/) coming over later and I can't let her know that I am a Messy Bessy!

oh this cheered up a dull Wednesday. One thing I enjoy even more is when you visit a historic house and one of your children points out your trousers have split all the way up the back showing your BIG pants that you hoped would never be seen by another!!!!

HA HA HA!!! Glad it's happened to someone else for a change! The first time it happened to me I was at the house of one of my husbands colleagues and the seam ripped right on the bum. Solution? I had very long cardigan with me so I put it on and kept it on!
The second time it happened was quite recently at my in-laws! I stood up and went out to the kitchen and one of my daughters followed me out and told me I had a ripp in the seat of my trousers! Solution? I took off my scarf and tied it round my bum like a tight skirt over the top of my trousers (thought it might catch on but MIL didn't seem to think so).
It's also happened to hubby whilst at work. His solution? Staple them back together of course!
I hope you've changed ready for your visitor!

How's the little one? Hope she's feeling better.:)

Swirly...... you posted pics of your house not so long ago, if you don't want us to think you are a messy bessie, I suggest you remove those pics!

chortle chortle!

I thought we had already decided that us creative types were "creative" in the tidying department too.

My OH actually split his pants hillwalking not so long ago, then he sewed them up himself and split them the next time he wore them! tee hee, it's always funny, but he was v.embarrassed

Well I did stretch and bend to see how much further I could get them to split and it's amazingly far!! And yes I did get my house tidied up for last night - Ruth was even shown my craft room which is normally such a tip but we could walk into it!!

At a job interview I was doing the obligatory tour with the interview team & as I was going up some steps, stepped on my (elasticated) skirt hem which pulled the skirt down to reveal......................a 7month preg bump which i hadn't told anyone about (and was disguised up until then by my jacket & skirt) and a fetching pair of keep it all in preg tights

Well you can guess that the trousers haven't gone into the scrap pile yet can't you! They have been earmarked for another use :D
