I've just finished making 2 of the "In The Night Garden" characters.

Firstly a Haa Hoo - the yellow spotted star shaped one

and secondly Makka Pakka

I do hope their new owners will like them!!

fab, but just a bit of caution here, maybe. in the night garden will be a licensed product, ie, anyone using the imagery would have to go through a license process and pay royalties etc. i think it's ok to make things like this for personal reasons, but don't publicise it too much.

it's just, i know from when i worked for coats, products like tatty teddy (the grey pencil drawn bear), for example, employed someone to trawl the internet specifically looking for unlicensed products.

wouldn't want you to get into trouble, thats all.

They're great. I especially like Macca Pakka but then my family (inc my OH) seem to hold a special place in their hearts for that little pebbly bundle!:)

Blimey! How paranoid were they?! Never thought that a company could be bothered to do that but then I suppose you get people making rip-offs on a commercial scale too and that does need nipping in the bud!

it is a bit OTT, but i suppose to them it's just protecting their brand and having quality control over what is marketed.

Cute indeed. But do watch out for the licencing thing - some companies are totally humourless about that, Like Disney - they will STAMP on you, even if you're a "little person", as t'were. If you sell these things, and they find you doing it, they will sue you for money you won't be able to pay, and prevent you from making such items in the future.

But, they have to find you first! So, if you post pics or whatever, NEVER mention the name of the characters, or the show, or the company... then how can they fnd you? :)
