Hello , My name is Melanie,
I am from Exeter in Devon, and have been making cards for about 2 years now, i started when my alopecia started, i mostly make them to give to family and friend, although i do sell a couple to them as well.

I always struggle to find ideas for a new home card - any ideas ?

Ive made a couple of new home cards with frogs sitting on lily pads saying welcome to your new pad! Also have made a topper of a cow out of wire saying moo-ving ( this was from a magazine)

I'm such a wuss I haven't ever tried a new home card.

I tend to make blanks and then ask the customer what they want putting on by way of greeting!

It's hard to do blokey cards, ain't it?
There is a cardmaking forum on this site: I keep popping in and having a look....:)

Welcome to the forum, as you have already seen there is always some ready to offer you a bit of help and guidance. I hope you join in as often as you can.
New Home cards..I bought a Sizzix die with a house on a while back and any new home cards I make tend to have one of those houses on, as I can cut the die out of any papers or card available you can make each card very different, relevant to the person you are sending it to. Also there are loads of ready made toppers in the shops or stamps with new home messages on if you are a stamper (I am afraid to say I have a go at everything so my craft room is over flowing with everything you can imagine as I can't resist anything!!)
