new painted page... this one is called the button thief (http://meridianariel.blogspot.com/2008/06/button-thief_29.html) she isn't quite finished and the color on the photo isn't quite true to the painting but I'm very happy with her and love her cheeky look and her little mask.

also have painted a slightly quirky un-knit woman (http://meridianariel.blogspot.com/2008/06/yarn-woman.html).

i'm considering getting some pin badges/buttons made from some of these paintings... and maybe some cards too... it all depends on if they sell or not... in the mean time I'm just happy to paint them... my husband asked if I will be painting on regular paper anytime soon.. I said I might. Right now I'm really happy with these little paintings on book pages.. there is something about it that makes me happy to have these little paintings on words... I may never write a book but I can at least paint one. :mf:

thanks for taking the time to have a look....

wow.. thank you so much... I will look into getting crads/postcards done.. or see what you need to get to print them at home.. my husband has a photo printer here.. and one at the studio (he's a photographer) ... I have blogged another "punny" picture... consumer (http://meridianariel.blogspot.com/2008/07/classics-for-modern-consumer.html) ... my husband thinks it funny... or perhaps he just thinks I am. :p ... *LOL*

I jsut wanted to say that I have finished off the Button Thief (http://meridianariel.blogspot.com/2008/07/button-thief-and-other-characters.html)as she wasn't quite complete before... I'm very happy with her now that she is hiding in the branches of a willow tree.

thanks for having a look.
