Hi all, just a quick one as I must get to bed. Well, Saturday is nearly upon me & it's my first fair. Will be selling cards and wax melts, hopefully selling anyway. Got my mum to doggy sit the girls, ( Bracken & Saffron) & hubby & I are off tomorrow as we thought we'd make a day of it & have a look around before the big day. Feel ok now but the stomach will be churning tomorrow evening no doubt. Got the insurance, products to sell, mustn't forget the cloth for the table & all the paper, pens, cellotape & goodness knows what else I'll find to take, probably even make room for the kitchen sink if mum didn't need it. Well this was supposed to be short so I'm off now. Take care all, & good luck to anyone else selling over the weekend. cheers Linda :o :o :o

Good luck... my little tip to ease those nerves would be to make a list of all the stuff you need to take with you which you keep... go through it tonight and tick off everything. You'll feel much better mentally knowing you've done that. You can then keep the list and use it again for every other event you do. If you keep the list on the computer, you can even add to it over time.

Above all else... enjoy yourself!

Good Luck. If your're anything like me you'll love doing fairs - they become addictive after a while!. I am also doing one tomorrow at a local flower festival so hopefully it will be a good selling weekend all round!!.

Have Fun. x

Good luck

I'm sure everything will go great, remember a big smile is free and can sometimes make peoples day.

I get the jitters before every craft fair I do !...and every one so far I have enjoyed ( even the ones outdoors with my cold feet , colder hands and freezing nose)

I agree totallly with Si about the list. I have one and it grows as I add new items that I sell and think of other things I need, but I know that if everything on there is ticked off then I can leave the house in the safe knowledge that I have everything. Then all I have to remember in the midst of all the unloading is to take my coolbag from the front of the car - I am prone to getting out to go and deal with my pitch and forgetting it is there!! - with my food and drink and generally my mobile in. List is invaluable.

Hi all, firstly many thanks for all the replies & good wishes. The fair was extremely quiet & only sold a couple of cards. Not many people sold stuff either & I reckon only a couple of people made the table money. It was great to meet other crafters & had a great time chatting to them all & hearing the stories. I met Jules & Purple Sparkle which was great so I can put faces to names now, Got my next one in December so EVERYTHING crossed for that one. Good luck to all of you with fairs in the future & hopefully they will be busier. Cheers Linda

I can't believe we were at the same fair, that's so funny! It was lovely to meet you.
Now, are you sure you can wait until December before the next one?!
