Made this Amethyst gemstone and Swarovski necklace last Saturday afternoon but couldn't find the camera till today.

As usual pics aren't good (due to my lack of photography skills) and this really does sparkle soooooo much in the flesh. And the purple velvet crystals just have to be my fave's at the moment.

Shame the spaekle doesn't show. I've been trying to imagine it. I think it looks really nice - so I bet it looks even better when it sparkles! http://static.keebali.com/paw-talk.net/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I love the design.....its gorgeous and I bet it really does sparkle :)

I made a lovely plain necklace using 6mm powder almond and light topaz and the sparkle was gorgeous on it but the photograph that I took of it just didnt do it justice but my bride loved it :)

I keep blaming the camera....Im sure its not my poor photography skills ;)

This really is a lovely piece, HOw much will you sell it for. And where did you buy the square shaped amythist beads, i would love some of those to make a necklace to go with an outfit i have for a wedding this summer?

It's lovely, whether the photo shows the sparkle or not, and the amethyst beads are wonderful.

Thanks everyone for the praise - it really makes you feel good when someone else likes what you do.

I've priced it at £27 and I'm happy with that price (3x cost + £10 per hour for my time) but Goldy saw it on Saturday and she reckons its way underpriced. Anyone want to buy it :D

I bought the beads from Foxy Facets in the US. I once bought from them via ebay and they really rip you off with postage but they automatically add you to their mailing list (can get annoying sometimes cos they send out so much spam) but they offer discount codes for 20% off plus you can fill an envelope for a cheap flat rate shipping fee which is really good.

Hiya

The necklace set is lovely!! Really pretty. I had the same problem with my jewellery, I went on a course to learn how to use my camera properly, the trick is to use a white background, I bought a light box from ebay which came with 2 natural halogen lights for about €25, I swear the difference is amazing. Try not to use the flash and change the white balance on your camera to daylight.. hope that makes sense....

Now after my photography lesson, anyone know how to set up a website?? LOL!!!

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I wanted to update you.

The title says it all really - I'm pleased cos my favourite necklace has sold but I'm soooooo sad cos I really didn't want it to sell cos I wanted to keep this all for myself. I figured it would look fab around my neck with a new purple outfit for xmas. I actually sat stroking the box with real tears in my eyes whilst my customer was looking around the rest of my stuff.

Am I sad (in the ridiculous sense) or what. :D

OH reckons I should email the company that I bought the beads from to see if they have any more so I can make one up for myself but I'm not holding my breath cos I had the amethyst beads for a good 2 months before I decided what to make with them.

My one consolation is that its off to a good home - way up in the Hebredes Islands. One of my regular customers has bought it for a present for her sister's birthday and she adores gemstone jewellery so at lest I know it will be appreciated as much as I appreciated it.
