Hi guys,
I'm looking at building a website but really can't think of a decent name! My hubby and I make candles and decorate horseshoes but I can't think of a decent name that fits these things! Or should I just call it something more general.... I thought it'd be a good idea to reflect what we make in the title but I'm having a complete block - so, help! Any suggestions?
Thanks,
June

Thanks Jan, That's all I could come up with as well!
Wasn't that a Disney-type film with Jodie Foster (how sad it that, that I remember it!)

Hi,
Are you going to be using your own domain name for the website?
In this case, if you can, its best to choose a name that uses one or more of your web sites keywords, seperated by a hyphen.
e.g if you made red widgets, you might be called red-widget.com,
Google loves this sort of thing for its search ratings.
Also, from a general business point of view, its handy if your company name sums up what you do - though of course there are millions of exceptions to this rule!
All the best
Steve

Hi Steve,
Yes, that's my problem! Ideally, it would have to be a domain name that reflects what we're selling but it's hard!
Bad/strange combination of things to try to make up a name for I suppose. I see it as a challenge! I'm sure something will come up soon.
Cheers,
June

Having just googled it, I'd avoid Hot2Trot like the plague if I were you ;)
Maybe i have a mucky mind but I thought hot2trot had other
connotations...and yep the website of that name is not particularly wholesome - btw don't try that website if there are little ones around unless you're ready for some awkward questions. :p

Oh dear! And we'd decided on hot to trot as well!
Maybe anything with hot in it is going to lead to much the same type of site!
Some of the other suggestions are great though so it's back to the drawing board! Thank goodness we hadn't had printed any cards or flyers with it on yet!
Cheers all!! x

Thought of a couple more seeing as you've decided against Hot to Trot
Saddlewax candles
Ponywax candles (although people may think you've used the ponies in the production process!)
Palamino Flame
Andalucian Flame
Farrier & Flame or Farrier Candles
At least you didn't find out after you'd started that the name was a bad idea. I remember something about Stuart Hall's International Travel a few years ago!
