:D I'm Cherry and I live by the sea in sunny Eastbourne, East Sussex

I'm retired now, used to be a Registrar for a language school but have always had a "sideline" of making things. Three sons, one daughter in law and a granddaughter aged 2 and a half by Christmas, two long term girlfriends for the other two boys, maybe that's what I made, but I'm talking about fabrication here, not procreation!

In this introduction I would like to ask a question!

My family always like handcrafted things for Christmas from me and my husband but I'm searching around for ideas this year.

We have done the decoupage boxes, the pinwork bells and eggs, Christmas tree eggs, the fabric Advent calendar, the pretty pillows, the shell mirrors and I've now run out of ideas, jewellery isn't an option, the girls are very set in their opinions, lol

Hope someone out there can give me a clue

Hi Cherry

Welcome to the forum!

Jewellery might not be an option for Christmas BUT why not make beaded baubles? Get some wire, thread some beads. For instance make a large circle with a piece of wire and inside with another piece of wire, make a star shape. You will probably have to put beads on first. I've never done it but I've seen it done and with your crafty mind, I'm sure I've given you something to work from!!??!!!!

Hi Bea,

Thank you for your kind welcome.

My, don't you have a lot of beads on your ebay site, very pretty indeed:D

In my mind's eye I'm picturing the baubles you suggest - sort of a cross between a dreamcatcher and a twinkly star might look quite good? Oh, you've got me going now! Could even make a mobile of them for my Granddaughter.

I appreciate your imput, thanks again.
