So I went upstairs to photograph some brooches like I said. Then I started stitching beads on some others... or rather I attempted to. I picked up my bead storage drawers and three of the b***** drawers fell out!!! Aaarrrrggghhh!!! Beads went everywhere. Tiny delica beads went everywhere. Tiny red and clear delica beads went everywhere. All over my work table...

...and all over the floor. The very mucky floor - that desperately needs vac-ing 'cause it's covered in thread, bits of towelling fluff from this morning, cat hair and now flipping beads!!!

I am SOOOO fed up. I have spent about half an hour picking beads up off the floor. Sad I know but I can't just throw three packets of beads away just like that.
OK. Rant over. I've calmed down a bit now. I'm sure I was going to blog something else but it can wait 'til tomorrow. ttfn xx

How frustrating - you will probably be finding beads for weeks to come.

Its happened to me with about 2000 blue coloured seed beads! Trouble was they were all different sorts of blue and hubby is colourblind and can't see the differences, took me days to find all the little blighters! I now have Craft mates lockable boxes, 14 compartments in each caddy and each one locks individually so if you knock the box over only the open compartments spill, its a fab little box! Selina

If you put the leg of a pair of tights over the end of your vacuum cleaner and hold it tight you can hoover up the beads and then switch off the vacuum over a bowl. All you need to do then is blow away the fluff and pick out any bits.

Hi Selina,
Where did you get your box from? It sounds like the sort of thing I need as I keep having disasters like this and losing tiny jewels and other bits. I have them in a little chest of drawers but keep tipping them over.
Gail.

Hi Gail, got mine from Ebay, put in a search for Craft mates. It will come up with a purple bag with 6 caddies in it. I got mine from a lady called Beads for beaders, no problems and next day delivery, hope this helps, Selina

I know this feeling well my little darlin of a dog is usually very well behaved but she can jump very high and on several occasions she has decided she wants to see what i am doing and jumped on the table before I can stop her and beads everywhere!! to make it worse she then tries to eat them!!
