What do you mean by bulk - 1440 or less? If you want them by the gross you are looking at importing from the states, if you want a wide variety, you will need more than one supplier - unless you import from the states. http://www.rainbowsoflight.com/ do good gross prices, but don't forgrt about customs. http://www.fusionbeads.com/ have a good variety, at decent prices. If you are looking for 100 bicones http://www.mailorder-beads.co.uk/index.html are the cheapest around. Have fun. :)

I buy mine from an ebay seller - bookee235. He sells in small and large quantities including factory packs (1440) of 4mm crystal AB for around £35.00. He stocks most colours and sizes. Delivery usually takes around 7 - 10 days and he doesn't rip you off with postage costs. I'd recommend him to anyone. I would post a link to his ebay store but as a newby I'm not allowed to.

The other thing is that he's based in Macau (an island somewhere near china I think) and goods from there are exempt from the import duty tax limit which is around $38 if you buy from the states.

Apologies to anyone that tells me I'm wrong about that but thats the basic rule I consider when buying from China and the US and I've not been stung for import duties yet.

We have a thing about chinese goods on this forum. :)

I also buy from bookee235 and have nothing but praise for them, I agree with everything auntynet says. Not all chinese sellers are bad, I have also used another seller from Beijing (not for Swaros) and they delivered in 5 days and that included a weekend, some English companies can't manage that.

Other suppliers of Swaros I use are
www.grovebeads.co.uk

and www.beadsandcrystals.co.uk

Hope this helps.
Sue.

Hi all, just thought I'd recommend myself here :)

For example, packs of 100 x 4mm Swarovski bicones are cheaper on my site than on www.grovebeads.co.uk (http://www.grovebeads.co.uk) and www.mailorder-beads.co.uk (http://www.mailorder-beads.co.uk)

thankyou in advance if you have time to take a look

Debbie

ebay. there are lots of sellers with swarovski crystals but then you'll never know if they really are genuine until it's too late and you've already sent your money and received the fake ones. :(

We have a thing about chinese goods on this forum. :)

You might but I don't - I always check sellers feedback and if its ok then I buy, if its bad then I don't buy. I apply that rule to all ebay sellers regardless of where they are. Common sense really.

One point worth thinking about...... where do the English sellers buy their wholesale packs from???? My guess is that most buy from the far east. Perhaps someone in the know can enlighten me.

To explain, if we allowed every company from China who wanted to sell on this forum there would be no bandwidth left for genuine members such as yourself to post their uncensored opinions. :) That's why we have a thing about Chinese goods. I personally have a bigger thing, but that has a lot to do with human rights, Tibet, restrictive conception, dictatorship, raping most of Africa, etc. Buy beads from China? I don't think so. :) Regarding wholesale packs - http://www.rainbowsoflight.com/ and http://www.fusionbeads.com/shop/category/25/Rhinestone_Beads/
need any more.....................?:D

Casket asks 'Is there anyway you can tell it's genuine Swarovski'

In the UK and EU there is a Trading Standards Law which states : -

'goods must be accurately described and fit for their purpose'

so that is part of the protection you get when buying in the UK, an overseas trader is not bound by this law as it cannot be enforced.
So there is some risk involved and difficult to tell who are genuine traders from abroad.

keep your hair on beadsage. was just asking a question. im buying from uk. would not entertain getting from china. i get chinese in my shop and as soon as they come in i would think half get the cameras out. we do not let them take pictures at all. WHY. because the return home and start copying them. and yes it doe go on.
their are unscupilous people in uk who would rip me off without blinking so i was just trying to cover myself as to not buy fakes.
anyway, ill take itthat you just have to keep your fingers crossed and trust the seller.
thanks for the help people.

I can recommend Beadservice.
I bought some Swarovski crystals this week from the website and they arrived the next day, I'm very pleased with the quality.

Thanks Debbie.

Many years ago I was at a posh do in north yorkshire, full of big bankers and grovelling small time politicians. A very boring night - then I spotted a chinese man who turned out to be one of the new thinking chinese who was trying to establish links with the west. When I mentioned the way the west feel about the situation in china, he came back with the point that the differences in attitude of the two worlds will only be changed when china is integrated with the rest of the world and then will adopt the same standards. (this guy was on a mission to change his country). He did then point out that I should look at the actions of my own country in the recent past before passing judgement!

If he was right then we maybe should buy chinese to make them so dependant on our money that they will have to listen when we complain, because much as we may not like to hear it "money makes the world go round".
