Body Scrub

Hi All - I am going to have a go at body scrub - can anyone tell me the best type of salts to use - not after any recipes.

I've never made a body scrub, the only thing I can suggest is trying various salts and see which you prefer. The marine fine sea salt ( have a look at http://www.justasoap.co.uk/catalog/marine-fine-sea-salt-p-206.html ) may be OK, I think their course salt may be too rough!

it all depends how corse you want your scrubs

for hard core scrubs i use corse sea salt with epsom salts for a more gentle scrub i use sugars

I definitely prefer sugar... but I make extra gentle scrubs... :D

I also prefer sugar as a body scrub like you.

If you make a scrub using sugar you have to use a preservative but if using salt you dont

hi i use course salt and i hear you can use oats as i srcub haven't tried it yet lady i know says they are charging a fortune in some salons for it so may try that this weekend on my guniea pig the hubby lol:mf:
