Looking for wood blanks

[Seahorse]

Im looking for wood blanks, finished of well in a light weight wood.

Preferably 2cm depth by about 14cmx10cm(like a greetings card size)

I found some on ebay which are the best so far but not ideal, if yuo type in 'blanks for crafters' yuoll see what I mean.

They are a small company, and do a range of wooden blanks, mostly in sycamore or birch ply. They are not particularly cheap, but the quality and service is terrific. They may have, or be able to provide what you want.

Jabby, luckily I found a friend that can do some of the work to the wood blanks for me and i recieved the blanks from Dalescraft yesterday.They are fab, thanks for recomending them.

I have to say firstly that getting the exact size etc of wood blanks is a nightmare. For that reason i now own my own Bandsaw and Scholl saw and do my own.
I do tend to work a lot in MDF though. but if you think i can help just give me a shout.

A quick and dirty way of getting blanks is to have one blank made to use as a master pattern, then rough cut your own wood slightly oversize to the same shape. Fasten the master blank to the piece you've just cut and trim it with a router fitted with a template cutting bit.

It's much cheaper than continuously buying blanks if you use a lot of them. Even if you have to buy new tools to use this technique, in the long run it will save you money.
