I am new to this forum today. Considering making a second income from crafts. My speciality is "matchcrafting". ie making models/novelty items from headless matchsticks, possibly using other materials as well. Looking through craft sites such as ETSY and YCL as well as shops that deal in handcrafted items, this appears to be an unexplored avenue. I would be interested to hear the opinions of other members as to whether or not there would be a market for such items. Do you think such items would sell? Would people pay a decent price for such items? As yet I have not listed any items for sale. Glad to hear what you think.

Hello & (welcome) from me too.
Just a though but have you 'googled' around to see if anyone is selling similar items already ... (or looked through eBay or similar) as it might be an indicator of whether your items would sell?

HIya and (welcome)
I've not seen anything made from matches when I have been to craft fairs but then you could nip in with something unusual!

I agree with ladyrat- When I think of match crafts I tend to think of old-fashioned items but if you can put a new spin on things then you might strike gold!

you'd have better luck getting into craft fairs than us jewellery and card makers!
