I finished this painting this afternoon, I've called it 'Evening glow' and it's another addition to the sunset series!
This is probably my favourite so far, I mixed a pearlescent tint medium in with my acrylic paints, I love this stuff! It makes the paint shimmer. It is v.difficult to get a decent picture of it though, since the light reflects off the paint and makes the camera behave extremely naughty!!!
So the pics here are the best I could do! I had to hang the painting outside to photograph...hence the brickwall in the photo!

The little story behind this painting? Well it came from many a summer evening, sitting in the garden, listening to the birds, sipping a glass (or two!) of rose and watching the sun set and the light fade away. On the best summer evenings the sky glows with awesome colours. I so love summer evenings and I so love watching the sunset.
The painting measures 50cm x 50cm x 3cm and is on a boxed canvas, so as usual the sides are painted too!
