Whilst visiting my aunt recently in cumbria, she took me along to the cardmaking crop she goes to. It was great to be able to sit and gossip and craft with people who have similar interests. I was just wondering does anyone know of any cardmaking crops in south east london?

Hmm... no, never heard of such a thing. The closest I can recall is sewing-circles...
Where would such a thing be held, and wouldn't it be an issue to take all the gear there, and find enough room to work?

I heard about a local event similar to this once from a more senior relative who was not impressed that they had adopted the American name for such craft'n'gossip gatherings...

"Stitch & B#tch"! :p

A lot of craft shops usually the independent ones will hold crops either for card making or scrapbooking on site in their shops. It's a great way to get crafters together and sell stash off the shelves at the same time.

I wish I had a decent craft shop near to me that did it, I think it would be great fun. Try seeing if any of you local shops do them..or even suggest they do if they don't!!

We've got a fantastic local craft shop called puffin crafts and they hold demos nearly every saturday and have some classes in the evening but they don't hold any crops and they said the shop wasn't really big enough to hold a crop.
It's not too much hassle getting all your stuff there as it's kind of a case where everyone brings a few things and you just get on with what everyones got. They are usually held in a community hall, church hall or somewhere along those lines
